JTAG (Janesville Talented And Gifted) is an outstanding association of local families and teachers dedicated to gifted education in Janesville. The group meets once a month on Thursday evenings (6:30-7:30) - at the Educational Services Center (527 S. Franklin Street). JTAG's mission is to:
1. Support students, staff, and other family members who participate in talented and gifted programming within and outside of school.
2. Promote the cause of talented and gifted programming.
3. Advocate maintaining the J-TAG program as a strong base for our talented and gifted students.
This meeting's focus is to discuss high school scheduling. Eight graders will be scheduling soon and it is important to select appropriately challenging courses. Personnel will be on hand to assist parents/students in this area. Upcoming JTAG topics scheduled this year include: summer programs, elementary to middle transitioning, and early entrance into kindergarten. Interested parties can expect to pay a nominal family membership fee of $10.00. Please consider joining this great association.
