RESCHEDULED EVENT:
Dr. Heather Hurd will be speaking on Thursday, January 23rd at 7:00pm at the Educational Services Center. Come listen to her speak about the needs of talented and gifted students.Dr. Heather Hurd is a school psychologist at Roosevelt and Washington Elementary schools. She is a licensed psychologist with a background in school and counseling psychology. Dr. Hurd has worked hard to effectively improve the lives of children and families for the past decade. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Educational Psychology with a minor in Counseling. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in public policy (educational, mental health) at the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Hurd’s clinical experience includes serving children of all ages (0-18) and young adults (18-25), as well as their families. She has worked in a variety of settings including: private psychology practice, hospital (interdisciplinary clinic), school (elementary and high school), and university settings. Dr. Hurd believes that while life presents with certain hurdles and challenges, with the appropriate supports all children and adolescents can grow, learn, and succeed!
