Welcome Back to the 2016-2017 School Year!!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
My name is Maria Kane and my role at Craig High School is the Talented and Gifted (TAG) building coordinator.  I am looking forward to being available to help support students, families, and staff.  This year both high schools are continuing with an I-Block (flex) period every Tuesday and Wednesday.  I-Block is used for remediation, revision, and extension.  Although students will be assigned to an I-BLock they will have the opportunity to sign out and attend other I-Block sessions.  Some examples are writing lab, chemistry lab, AP content specific lab, test makeup, music, art, etc.   I look forward to getting to know your student and continuing my work with them.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Maria Kane
What Is the TAG Program at Craig High School?
The primary enrichment tools at Craig High School are the wide array of course offerings (including honors, acceleration options, and AP courses) and extra-curricular opportunities. In addition, I am a resource to colleagues, capable students, and their families.  The advocate is another resource along with counselors, academic learning coach, and classroom teachers who assist capable students.
·         This year Craig and Parker TAG programs will be using email and website updating to disseminate information out to parents and families.
